Whether published or a self-published author, you probably know that the hardest part is getting your book noticed by lots of readers. Invite your readers to create the buzz for your book for you. Reviews are important tools for evaluating books. Reviews help sell books! Book Reviews – Encourage Reading!
The best way to start selling books is to tell everyone about it. You don’t have to constantly go around saying how amazing you are but it is always good to be enthusiastic about your book to generate some interest in it. Once people begin to buy your book, encourage them to tell others about it. Exploit any relationship you might have with anyone who reads your book.
A book review is a form of literary criticism or praise in which a book is analyzed based on content, style, and merit. It’s for real people who want to know if your book is worth reading or your service is worth engaging. Reviews can put your book at the top of the stack.
Encourage your Website visitors to write a review for your book on Amazon.com. Instead of paying for expensive advertising, this is a more effective way because this deals with real people who can vouch for your book.
Make it easy for them. For an example of how I use this technique, go to www.CelebrateLove.com/writeareview.htm. When a visitor clicks on a book cover image or the word “review” under one of my books it takes them to a place on Amazon.com where they can write their own review for one of my books.
Social networking works too. Ask readers to Tweet their comments on Twitter. Facebook is another great place for readers to post their comments.

Post readers comments on your Blog. You do have a Blog, right? If not go to WordPress.com and start one. Having a blog or a website has several advantages. The first is that it is a great way of attracting new readers to buy your books. A blog or website is an opportunity to give your readers a taste of your style and convince them that they want to see more of your work. Another reason is it’s a great way to keep your readers informed of what you are up to and maintain their interest in your work.
